Incomudrox,,,,,
I just read your post about inhaling NAC ( mucomyst) i know when i tried it years ago, I got very tight chest and hoarseness from it, even with doing ventolin first.....
It is actually a common side effect of inhaling it, and so dr.s probly havent been prescribing it much, but instead prescribe the hypertonic saline, which in most cases is easily tolerated.
I might try mucomyst again.....

I love mucomyst for an exacerbation. I do find that if I am on it long-term it greatly increases my bronchospasms and I get some hoarseness. I usually use it in addition to the hypertonic 2X a day if my lungs are getting junky. It really seems to help a lot.
