Inhaling Peroxide via SVN

I have yet to try it, but I have been told that there are people who actually inject it in small doses because it destroys infection inside the body.

I figured that since I use it as a mouthwash, and its effective at getting rid of acne (applied to face via a cotton swab), maybe if I inhale it, it will destroy the bacteria infection in my lungs... After all, I no longer have acne and no cavities.

I have a doctors appt and will no doubt ask my doctor, but I was just wondering if anyone here inhaled peroxide.

I wouldn't do it. A big thing with cf is that when the white blood cells explode in our lungs, they release peroxide...and that plays a major role in lung damage. I think inhaling something like that would kinda aggravate the problem that's already there.

Just my two cents

Do not use.
You might destroy your lungs. I would not even try a little. anything can happen after one dose if it is a toxic substance. Ask your doctor

I think there was some type of study, or some company that was advertising that this will help those with CF. Never has it been proven, and in fact I vaguely recall that there were warnings about doing this.

As far as rinsing your mouth with it... STOP that too. You are created a possible future problem with periodontal disease. You are ruining the surface and the outside protective enamel on your teeth. YES, years ago dentists told you to do this, now they have reversed that.

You might want to get an electric tooth brush, those seem to also help with the reduction of cavities...

We don't use hydrogen peroxide anymore in the hospital, not even for wounds.. it destroys healthy tissues and cells as well as the infection. You definetly don't want to inhale this into your lungs. NOT SAFE...
