Inner ear issues CF related?

I've been having a little ringing in my ear and slightly muffled hearing for a week and a half now. I thought it was wax caught in there (I usually have a lot of wax/fluid) so I used an OTC wax removal kit with no luck. Today I had an endocrinologist visit so I asked her to look in my ear. She saw no wax and said my membrane looks pale, not the usual pink it should be and could be fluid behind it.

Has anyone had this and is it just from poor drainage? I have no ear pain and I haven't felt sick. I'd rather not have to go to the doc if this is something that can resolve itself. The only bug I culture for is staph-can that get in my ears??? Please say no...<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">

I had this back in November. We thought it was from my Tobramyacin usage. I have had a few hearing tests & ENT exams to no avail. It has went away on its on.

I chalked it up to poor sinus draingage because it reminded me of when you have a bad head cold.

Have you told your CF dr? I know that hearing loss can happen from Tobra. Just a thought so you can have it looked into!

hopefully it is something that can be easliy fixed.

I am actually having the same thing right now...along with pain in my Jaw. My primary care doc said there was nothing wrong with my ear and that it would probably go away on its own. I will probbaly tell my CF doc when I see him next...that is if I remember...lol.
