sounds to me like hes got a mild case of CF, and is trying to get some suckers to give him money. I am guessing he has CF cuz he responded with the enzymes comment, but I don't see how some1 could go without them.

FYI, I live and work with health care programs in Arizona, and have no idea why he is saying Arizona eliminated their adult CF program. Seems very suspicious to me.</end quote></div>

I believe that Arizona clarified their 'official' definition of certain diseases that they will no longer fund the entire amount of treatment when the 'child' reaches the age of 21. Very losely interpreted, they eliminated the financial support for CF Adults, as well as others. (I am under the impression that this just means you can no longer be covered by Child Services, and have to switch over to AHCCCS - pronounced access for those not in AZ, which has its own set of rules.) <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.azsos.gov/public_services/Register/2004/9/final.pdf">http://www.azsos.gov/public_se...ister/2004/9/final.pdf</a>
(search for cystic fibrosis.) It has to do with AZ Gov funding of their medical/financial programs.

I could be wrong, in fact have been wrong in the past. So, what exactly is an 'Arizona CF program'?

I believe what he might mean by "in recent years states such as minnesota, arizona and virginia have completely eliminated their adult CF programs" is probably their adult CF ASSISTANCE programs.

His answer does seem rather vague, but are we just reaching here or what?? I guess I"m still really bothered by yesterdays comments about the other guy who doesn't "look" like he has CF.

Arizona, in addition to its Medicaid program (known as AHCCCS), has a program called Children's Rehabilitative Services (CRS). CRS covers care for a variety of medical conditions specified in Arizona law, such as spina bifida, cystic fibrosis. By statute, it is a children's program, and is only funded until people reach the age of 21. I think years ago they let some people continue receiving care through the CRS clinics even after reaching adulthood, but had to stop that when the numbers kept increasing. Arizona's legislature has never amended the program to allow it to cover adults. Maybe that is what he is talking about. But it would be inaccurate to say they "stopped" the adult program.

In Phoenix, there is an adult cf clinic, but it is not a government sponsored clinic, just a medical facility that accepts payment from Medicaid, private insurance, and private pay.
