I checked on healthcare.gov and they have the plans up and you can search which ones will give you Orkambi/Creon/etc. Here in GA, only 1 provider is covering my meds. Similar to your situation, I'm going to lose my CF center, as Kaiser (only 1 left with my meds), does not work with Emory University/Hospital. So, I guess I'll have to go to their doctors to get these scripts filled, etc. This is all assuming that Obamacare isn't repealed immediately. This whole thing is just so screwed up, but I can't help but remember a time when I was traveling abroad and I forgot my medkit that had my Creon in it back in the states. I thought I was in for some major trouble when I landed in my destination (Belgium), but on a whim, I went into one of those street corner pharmacies they have everywhere and asked the clerk if she had Creon. I expected the same bullshit with prescriptions, cost, etc as you get in the states and to my extreme surprise she then looked up from her computer and said "How many do you need?". I said, "How much for one canister?" She replied, "35 USD." THIRTY-FIVE DOLLARS. That same amount (100 pills) is about 600+ something bucks without insurance in the states. SAME company. Abbott. Same pills. Same bottle. 35 dollars. Goes to show you how America just needs to get these care costs under control. Period. If that means a single payer, fine. If that means no state line limits on insurance, fine. But, this game they are ALL playing with our lives needs to stop.
