Wanderlost (hey did you do a lot of travelling?) - the one CF doc I talked to seemed to predict that based on my milder symptoms 1 mut would be caught and the other would be more unusually so not caught in the gene test.

Wanderlost,
It seems likely that just being a carrier wouldn't cause missing vas defs. I don't think 1 in 30 white guys out there have "nature's vasectomy" ;^)

I was diagnosed at 29 after 2 years of chronic bronchitis and sinusitis. I was sick pretty often growing up and probably should have been diagnosed much earlier but wasn't. By the time I was diagnosed I was relieved to finally find out what I was fighting. The whole story is the only entry in my blog if you are interested. If you want to talk about it sometime send me a PM or I'm in chat most nights about 9pm central time.

I don't think the idea was that all carriers would have this, but some could. I think this article is the one that talks about it:
<a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://molehr.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/reprint/4/2/107.pdf
">http://molehr.oxfordjournals.o...i/reprint/4/2/107.pdf
</a>
but honestly, I only had time to skim it right now. If anyone else has any info or links, please share - i know i read this somewhere (though it may now be outdated info with all the newer adult dxs)
