My husband uses the elastomeric pump (called Homepump Eclipse) too. He loves them. The are similar to the ones that Emily posted, but don't have the hard casing on the outside. My husband loves them because they fit into his pocket easily so he can be at work doing a presentation while infusion. He does use the syringes sometimes too--depending on what med he is using.

My nurse has been using the Cloroprep on me for a while when she accesses my port. They're much less messy, and much more convienient. As for the self-pumping ball, I used it the last time I had Tobra (which was a few years ago). I wish I could use it every time I need any I.V. med. Its so much easier!
