For reference: the link for the easy pump that Marjolein is referring to is what I have and is called the elastomeric pump, it doenst require you to hook anything to it though like it looks like hers does.

I dont know about the insurance and such because mine is pretty good about covering whatevr. I know these are more expensive but you dont need all the tubing and such so maybe it will help make up for the lareger expense?

Mel, they're called Baxter Intermates, if that helps you any.

Oh and I don't have any list, but I know Meropenem is one that you can't get in the little balls or bottles. You have to mix it right before use, so you have to use gravity. I hate that one. But for anyone who hadn't figured it out... those IV poles are annoying and take up a lot of space. A great way to let gravity work and use a lot less space? Grab an extra hanger and hang it above you (window fixtures, etc).

Yes i know it looks like you have to hook something to it, Nicole, i know what you mean. But i don't have to do that, i think we have the same. Anyway i think they have it unscrewed(sp?) to let you see where they fill the ball with the meds?

One more thing i loved about the Easypump is the airfilter in the line! Didn't have to think about any air going into my port.

Last year I used what Emily uses.

Before that it was 8-10 10ml syringes and I pushed everything in. I was done in about 5minutes, which I have since learned is a bit too fast lol..
