IV Big Improvements

Garran usually gets the premixed balls of antibiotic when he is getting the tobramiacin and the cephapine, but this time he is getting the Timentin and Bactrim and the Timentin can be put in the ball but the Bactrim has to be mixed with in two hours of use so we have to mix it and use a pump at home so we cant get the ball for that one.

So in answer to your question Mel, there are some Meds that you cant get on the ball, but not sure of the whole list, you will have to talk to your Doc and the pharmacist aboout that one.

But all in all if we had a choice the ball is much easier and faster and we would prefer that to the pump any day.

As for the insurance, it also may depend on your home health service and the person that prepares your home meds. whether they offer that specific type of method or not, I would ask.

I dont know about the insurance and such because mine is pretty good about covering whatevr. I know these are more expensive but you dont need all the tubing and such so maybe it will help make up for the lareger expense?
