IV Med Side Effects

No home remedy (ginger, raspberry etc) helped Josh when he was on imipenem last year. He couldn't keep anything down for at least a month. He still doesn't have an appetite (its been 8 months off).

Our docs gave him zofran to take with each IV dose. It did seem to help but not totally.

Nothing is worse than feeling like that. Sorry you are going through it.

Mine will probably not be a popular answer, but when I'm on one of the IV meds that make me nauseous, sometimes I'll get high. That helps a lot. Heh.

There is anti-nauseau drugs you can have your dr. prescribe to you. They come in pill form and a shot. Ask and it could help. As far as feeling tired and ALWAYS do and I just deal and relax and sleep! See if you can go out on short term disability from your work.

Feel better!
