IV potassium any one else have to get Potassium

I am wondering if others ever had to get IV potassium? This one is new to me. My visting nurse told me she has had three others need Potassium lately'None of my Meds are depleting my potassium. One of the side affects are low energy. I dont know but i will have to eat foods high in potassium . Lord knows i dont have much energy as is! HAHAHA

sorry to hear you're having to take iv potassium. yes, i too, have been on iv potassium. i encourage you to continue asking why your potassium level is depleted. is this a normal occurrence for someone with a cf exacerbation? or is there something else going on physiologically? i ask and am concerned only because of potassium's effect on the heart...which i'm sure they've already shared with you.
my potassium level was off (low) because i was having fluid and electrolye problems due to being extrememly backed up...that was my experience. make sure to update us and let us know how you're doing. i'm sending happy thoughts your way.
