Joints hurt - Glucosimine

I just pretty much deal with the pain and inflamation too, I am allergic to sulfa, so arthritis meds are out of the question, as is glucosymine (sp). Sometimes I will have flare ups resembling gout, just gotta deal with them, if they are super bad (swelling and almost unbearable) then I will go for pain meds. That has only happened twice though.

Thank you for the input everyone.

I am 10 years post lung transplant, and there are some meds I cannot take, like Advil, Aspirin, Ibuprofen etc. I am only allowed Tylenol, anything stronger I have to talk to my tx center. Most things are no. The reason is that the other pain killers can cover rejection and then big trouble.

The glucosimine I can say is definitely helping my hands. Every morning when I got up they were stiff and hurt in the joints. That is gone!!! I love that even small part. My tx team said stay on it for a couple more months, then decide if it really is working.

I will keep you updated.
