Hi there,

I am 30 w/CF and have suffered from kidney stones since I was 18 years old. They are somewhat common in CF (something like 10-20% of CFers get them). There hasn't been a lot of research done on why this occurs, but it does. Anyhow, I have had a couple lithotripsy procedures done to help break up the larger stones, but otherwise I have passed the rest of them with a little help some pain meds. But just wanted you to know that your son is not alone and it's definitely not a fun thing to go through.
