Kidneys - Protein in urine. Anyone else?

JenWren, great advice on the insurance company. I am slowly finding that out. Take heart all of you. Persistence and consistency usually pay off, it is just time-consuming. I battled a $10,000 bill one time for almost a year and ultimately prevailed.

As to the question of continuing blood pressure med. There may be some confusion. Blood pressure meds are a preventative measure to protect kidneys. They have NOTHING to do with controlling blood sugar. There are OP medicines that can be used to control some forms of diabetes; but, blood pressure meds won't help you at all with blood sugar control.

What I meant was:
Since you are keeping your BS numbers in control (thereby not necessarily having elivated proteins in urine due to this), yet you continue the BP med for your kidneys. Do you still have protein in your urine even with controlled sugars? If not, are you simply taking the med as precautionary?
