i have 1 child. she is 2mo and has cf. i wanted to know:

out of all the kids you have, how many have cf, and how many do not?

i know i only have a 25% chance of having a child with cf but i just feel like im always going to be so unlucky

I am the one with CF and my DH is not a carrier so both my children do not have CF. My parents had 2 kids, both of us had CF. Yet you can have families with 10 kids and only 1 w/ CF. You just don't know. My advice - enjoy your little one and worry about more kids and CF later. You have time to make decisions when she's older. Congrats on your beautiful little girl! She's such a doll.

its funny you say that (to think about it later...) im asking, and i know i have a 75% chance of having a cf-less child, but im asking because i havnt had my first period yet since giving birth and im pretty sure i ovulated over 2 weeks ago (now closer to 3 weeks) and still no period.... so i might not have the option of "thinking about it later" kwim?

i dont want to be pregnant. i didnt want another child naturaly. i wanted to do IVF/pgd so we can be sure... and now who knows. i just hate the idea of putting another child through that kind of life

i need to just take a test but to be honest im kinda scared....

Elisa,
How do you know you ovulated? Did you take tests to predict ovulation?

I know stress, etc can cause a delay in ovulation or even cause lack of ovulation for several cycles.

Plus, are you breastfeeding? That in itself is a strong help in avoiding pregnancy (although it is not 100% effective).
