Kinda crazy question

I am just wondering if anyone here as every noticed that if you over due it, you will run a low grade fever. I have had this pattern since December. If I do too much, I start running a low grade fever. The first time this happened I baked cookes about a week before Christmas and got really sick that night. I ended up on IV antibiotics. Then it happened again in January; again, I ended up on IV antibiotics. I had an episode last month too but I was able to recover quickly from that one. But here I am again-low grade fever, achey and just over all don't feel well. It started yesterday after doing some painting. I only pained for 4 hours though. To me, it doesn't seem like I am doing so much that it should make me sick.

Anyway, I was just curious if anyone else has noticed this.

Thanks.

Yes, before I was dx/started treatment. My doc thinks its from staph aureus overgrowth that worsened whenever I got worn down. Is it possible that your treatments aren't helping enough or you culture for a new bug? Or your sinuses causing issues?

Julie,

Sometimes I have something similar happen. I will get malaise (body aches like the flu), feel really tired and run down, and sometimes get low-grade fevers. It took me a while to realize that this was sometimes brought on by me overdoing it (or because I was getting sick) - like not getting enough sleep and doing too much. A couple of times I've ended up on IVs, but not always.

I think my doctors and I have figured out it is caused by inflammation. I'm not sure if it is the muscles or what. But it probably has to do with the bugs I culture acting up. I discovered what was causing it when I would stop Prednisone and feel like this for the next 2-3 days.

Anyway, taking Advil would never really help, but I'll tell you what did: upping my Zithromax. I used to take 250 mg per day (I now take 500), but ask your doctor about taking 500 or splitting up your dose 250 am and pm.

Good luck! This stuff is no fun.

Yep!! Have this all week. No major fever just enough to have the aches--- I over did it with hosting big birthday party and getting home from a weekend trip (tons of laundry) and I have been paying for it ever since. I got this also after Thanksgiving weekend-- lots of house cleaning and cooking.

I am through hosting parties and holiday weekends. This ol' body can't take it no more.

Yeah, Advil doesn't help me either.
