Hey Vicki,

Thank you for the concern and asking about me. All is going well. I have been busy this week with appointments and catching up on some prior commitments - Things I had been intending to do BEFORE I got called that got postponed a bit lol.

I spent all weekend making a scrapbook for a friend of mine and Kurts - they are getting married June 9th. I am bummed a bit cause I can't go - no large crowds just yet, but Kurt is going and I was bound and determined to make sure their gift was complete. So that book was my life this past weekend.

On the health front all is going really well. I had my last weekly bronch today - like Roshelle said - and it went well. I have only had one biopsy taken to date and it was negative for rejection, so all is well on that front AND finally after all the cultures I have had the last culture results from my bronch on May 22nd came back clear - completely clear. The last few showed NO Psuedo or MRSA but had shown a type of strep and some other bug that confused them as it was NOT a typical respiratory bug. BUT today when they showed me the culture results there was nothing there. I was so excited. I will see the doc again in a few weeks and will find out the results of the culture they took today and I am sure it will all be the same - nothing.

I have been doing Pulmonary Rehab 3 times weekly and walking and exercising at home hoping to build up my strength and get to a point where I can start to increase my lung function even further. My PFTs seem to have stabilized AT THIS POINT at about 70%, which is awesome. They said it can take anywhere from 3 months to 1 yr for someone to reach their max capacity post transplant, so I have plenty of time to work on that lol. I have labs and stuff every week or so too. Things are starting to calm down in regards to appointments though this coming week. Once we enter the second month post they start to taper off the bronchs and such. I will still have PFTs, labs and rehab though. OH and props to my docs - they gave me an order today for neuromuscular massage to help with the tightness in my back (due to the type of incisions I have - I did NOT get the "clamshell" incision) and also to help with the tissue/scar desensitization that I have been having.

Well anywho - that may have been more info than you were looking for but YES all has been great. I am lurking around and replying to people's posts. I have just had a lot going on and we are working on a personal website for me as well - a friend and I are going to be working on it in the coming weeks, so hopefully I will be able to post that info soon. With everything happening I really haven't had a chance to blog - I have thought about it but every time I do something else comes up. I AM around though I promise.

Take Care,
Lindsey

and just so you know I am hoping and praying for your call to come very very soon. Heck I know that my center just did two more transplants in the past week - I think they were single lung but I am not sure. Either way it seems to be a very busy time of year for transplants - I know including mine there have been I think 5 lungs at my center in the past month.
