My kids had a little neuropathy from zyvox. They were also on it for myco. They were on it for about 6 months (maybe 8) before being tested. Apparently neuropathy is a side effect fromlong term use. It was only a little tingling in their feet- but enought to concern their docs.

I have had great luck with zyvox aka linezoild. I was warned that insurance might not want to pay for it - due to being so expensive, but it went through my insurance just fine. I have United Health Care under my mom's plan. The only side effect I really ever suffered from it was an upset belly for the first few days, so expect more frequent bathroom trips. Other than that I always felt great while taking linezolid and felt that it really kicked back a lot of the bugs that I was growing. (Mainly MRSA, but suspected mycro.) Good Luck!
