Littledebbie

I too loved her Goria Steineman quote, and had forgotten it from all those years ago when I used to be a card-carrying femminst. That and her quote about "well-behaved women", showed me right away what kind of stuff Debbie was made of. Her "coffee dates" and adventures in shoes sometimes had me startling the dog when I laughed out loud.

I will never, ever, be able to see shoes for sale without thinking of her. I'm sure I will be one of those old ladies out shopping who will say "Did I ever tell you about the wonderful young woman named "littledebbie" that was CRAZY about shoes...?" And whoever is with me (probably carrying my drool bucket) will roll their eyes in a perfect rendition of the littledebbie"rolls eyes" tradition.

And gnomes--I have decide to start collecting gnomes for my garden so that everytime I will look at them--I will think of her, and then I too can say (as I'm sitting there with my glass of wine)--that I'm "chillin with my gnomies" too!

So here's to you Debbie<img src="i/expressions/wine.gif" border="0"> --you did it your way, all the way. I hope you have an endless variety of shoes in your closet up there, a pair for every heavenly occassion. Next time I have a beer--I will have an extra one for you!
