Liver issue

yesterday we receive her GI blood test. Her liver numbers weren´t good. I havent been with the doctor (I call him any way), but i cant wait to ubderstand what is happening.
He told me at the phone that it shows that we should control her liver but nothing to do at the moment.
please tell me can she has high numbers in her blood test and not develope in the futere any problem, or what kind of problem she might have.
on top of all, she got sick first time since she was dx almost a year ago. Iam rpetty sure that when itook her to the hospital to do this examsshe caught something, i will do her culture today in the afternoon..... grrrrrr, i am not in my best mood so hopefully nobody call to sell anything because i will scream at the phone if you know what I mean.

Did the doctor mention putting her on Ursidoil (Actigall)? I have liver issues, and I am on Ursidiol, to help thin the bile in the liver and keep my numbers back in the normal range.

Also, I believe that taking NAC has possibly helped my liver too. If you do a search here, you can find information on it. I don't know where you would get it in Chile though, sorry!

Liver problems seem to be common in those with cf. Especially those kids who had bowel problems at birth like my son. We were told that my son had high liver enzymes when he was a few months old. He was put on actigall and has taken it for the past 5 years. It took 9 months or so for his numbers to fall, but they have been in the normal range since. It is also important to see a GI dr about this if you can, not just a pulmonologist. You want someone who understand about liver problems. They also need to check the size, shape and how soft it is (by feeling it). This lets them know if they need to do testing (ultrasound, etc) on the liver.
