My 2yr old takes 500mg of actigal a day has been for awhile. How much does everyone else take? Do any of you now what you liver # are? My 4 yr old stays in the 70-80 range. Doctors aren't worried about him though.

DS is on Urisodiol/Actigall (20 mg/ml) -- he takes 7.5 ml 3 times a day -- so 450 total. Don't know what his liver numbers are -- when he was a newborn and on TPN, I know they were concerned, but hasn't been an issue of late. His doctor did indicate there's a Factor 2 test that should be conducted next time he has his labs to determine early on if there are any liver issues.

My 4 year old has beeon on Ursodiol since she was dx 10 months ago. She takes 300 mg a day. Her liver enzymes were slightly elevated at dx but are now AST 26 and ALT 20, which are within the reference ranges of 3-35 and 3-40 respectively (at least that is the info I have). I think someone on here (possibly Foody?) said that elevated liver enzymes could be just another component of the poor pancreas function/whole digestive mess, especially before those are dx and being treated, and can come down. However, as far as I can tell we're going to be on Ursodiol forever. Our 1 yr labs are coming up though.....

Well, I am an adult, and I take 1200mg of Ursidoil (600mg twice a day), and my dr. always tells me "good" or "fair" etc. I've been fluctuating between good and fair for about 6 months. I am embarrassed to say, I don't know my numbers. I've also been told to drink lots of water.

My enzymes only showed up as elevated at all when I had a bile duct obstruction (a stone), and that was when I was started on the Ursidiol (about 3 years ago).
