Loss of sense of taste & smell

Mine came back once after a sinus surgery. I can smell certain things (and they make me ill-- garlic, perfume) but on the average I don't smell much. My sense of taste is bit dulled. I still have enough to enjoy foods-- I do like them highly seasoned other wise eating can get boring.
