It's normal to get SOB easily at least for me, just walking leaves me completely out of breath on my weak days.

Definitely not just you! When I first went from the 90s to the 80s, the same thing happened to me very often. I think it's an important part of a relationship, so I really made an effort to find ways that I can do it despite my shortness of breath. However, now that my baseline is lower, my lungs have adjusted to lower FEV1 and it doesn't bother me as much. Plus, it's awesome airway clearance. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

I wrote into a CF listserv about this when I was first having problems and almost unilaterally everyone suggested upping my exercise amount to increase exercise tolerance. That wasn't really my issue, though... my personal problem is that I get really bad big mucus plugs stuck in my airways which make me SOB no matter what until they're gone. So for me, focusing on doing lots of airway clearance and keeping my lungs really open is the key.

Also - amazingly enough, PFTs in the 80s and 90s aren't considered that "low"! It can be a big transition though when you are used to very high numbers.
