Lower Abdominal Pain

I have noticed latley that before I have to have a bowel movement I have pain in the lower abdomin (under the belly button), I go pain is gone, sometimes it sticks around for a few minutes afterwards. But the last few days when I do have a movement I get pain in the lower abdominal area and lasts up to 5 minutes, or so it seems.

Anyone else experience this or have any idea why this is occuring?

I am NOT on any meds for anything, I only take enzymes that's it so it's not a medication issue

I am NOT pregnant as I had my tubes tied May/07

Thankx
Jina

Have you felt like vomiting as well. DS had similar pain issues, but it would come on suddenly, he'd throw up and then he'd be fine. He was having issues with an obstruction; however, when he went to the doctor they checked his appendix because that was one of the symptoms as well.

Hey Jina,

It could be any number of things.. Obstruction, Appendix (the pain for this is usually on the right side though) , Hernia, Not taking enzymes correctly , other probs that are radiating to that area.. etc..

I would go to a GI dr and see what is up ..

I hope you feel better soon . Take care & keep us posted ..

I used to have excruciating pain in my abdomen. I always thought it was my pancreas giving out on me. I think it pancreatitis. It went undiagnosed and I don't have it anymore.
