Major Muscle Loss

I can't remember if you're a diabetic or not, but continusly (sp?) high blood sugars can do this too.
As for myself, I noticed that just over a couple week period of being unemployed and staying in bed made my leg muscles flimsy. However, I am older (41), so I wonder if some mine has to do with age.

Hi

I know that my son has GAINED (heaps of) weight including muscle since he has been on GSH and Azithro. The dietitian said he had had two years growth in six months...so that's great!

youre not alone cowtown. i lose muscle like crazy. i guess its just a cf thing, not to mention if your parents dont build muscle easily you will be the same. one drug that can cause muscle loss is prednisone. the last long term course i had, which was years ago, caused severe muscle loss. took a long time to get back to normal. if you ever have to take pred be wary of that.

Wow, lots to think about here. Thanks for everyone's replies!

LightnLife, funny you mentioned the o2, b/c I've been thinking a lot about my o2 levels recently. I will ask my doctor about that at my next visit. I'll ask about my blood sugar levels again, but they have always been okay.
