Managing Stress and Taking Care of yourself

I need to work on my stress relief stuff. I tend to handle it in all the wrong ways, you know, eating, sleeping, yelling at my husband. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Seriously, I am trying to work out more, and hot baths or showers are a huge one for me. I can't wait to read more ideas.

I'm horrible when it comes to stress. My shoulders will literally be at my ears because I tense up.

Today I am getting my hair colored, a little treat for myself!

Then Thursday I am getting a massage. I usually get 1 a month (I'd prefer 1 a week).

I usually work out several times a week but that's more like a chore than a stress reliever.

I want to go tanning, a 12 minute nap in some warm light...sounds nice.

I like to read or journal, talk to my sister, I am doing a devotional right now with the Bible, it's so cool because it breaks it down to how the verses can affect my life/change my thinking. So awesome!

I like this thread. I've always done the long bath/shower thing to relax. I definitely try to always have some sort of project going. I sometimes work on the denim quilt I've been making, or sometimes I go make cookies or banana bread. My family loves it when I take my frustrations out on baked goods. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

One of my favorite ways to battle stress is to go for a drive, and listen to my favorite CDs. Exercise is also good. It gets those happy chemicals flowing!
