I'm just wondering if anyone has any good ideas for meals or what to be eating in a day. I feel like everytime I read something I stress out wondering if I'm giving my babies all that they need. Any help would be appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

i've always eaten pretty healthy so i haven't been watching what i eat. i just try to eat more when i do eat, or drink more milk. i feel as long as i'm eating good and not just piggin out because i'm pregnant the baby and i will be fine. i know she is getting plenty of vitamins and calcium with the prenatal vitamins, vitamax, and calcium pills i take. i also drink tons of water, i never drank water before i was pregnant.

I kept a food journal for a few months, it really helped me keep count of my calories and protein. I have a book I'll send you, that is where I got my intake recommendations. It's something like, "when you are expecting twins, triplets or More" by Dr. Barbara Luke. It also has high calorie and high protein recipies in the back.

I had a really hard time, I'm NOT a big eater. But I ate a lot of cottage cheese, yogurt, chicken (baked, or in the george foreman), ICE CREAM (has lots of calories, Ben & Jerry's brand), a LOT of milk (whole milk for extra calories) I'm going to try and find that journal to see what I was eating. Oh, a LOT of spaghetti o's with a protein shake (Optimum nutrition chocolate, I could gulp it down in 2-3 swigs and it wasn't bad at all- and I'm PICKY!!)

i did a daily food journal to track my calories and protein. i did the Bradley birthing method and it-also Lamaze and most other sources reccomend-80-100 grams of protein a day. i tried to get 2800 cals a day. they wanted me to get 3000-3200 but this was just impossible for me and even 2800 was not possible some days. but this was me, your daily cal reccomendation is likely different.
i can't emphasize the protein enough though. Bradley method teaches that many premature births, gestational diabetes and other problems can be prevented by getting all that protein every day. since i was high risk for preterm devliery being a cfer i was religious with that diet. i went 1 week late so who knows if it helped but it sure didn't hurt!
some good high protein foods-eggs any way, whole grain bread-2 eggs on 2 slices of rye bread is 28 grams! add a tall glass of milk and you add 16 more grams so you're almost halfway there.
every day i drank 3 glass of milk-thats 900 extra calories and 40+ grams of protein.
also grabbing a few string cheeses for a snack on the go gave me 8 grams.
pumpkin seeds are high and all nuts are too. i really liked the Boca brand veggie burgers and veggie chicken patties-they were loaded with protein and really tasty-i give them to kids and they don't know that they're not chicken. the veggie burgers have something like 16 grams per burger.
hope this gave u some ideas-stay healthy!
