i'm unhappy with the company that i've been ordering me neb compressor filters, neb kits, and attempted to get a new compressor through. anyone know of a good national (U.S.) company? i also want to get an acapella, so it would be great if they carried those, too.

thanks.

I'm assuming you're going thru insurance? I've ordered stuff from American Allergy -- filters, neb cups, compressors, but didn't run it thru our insurance. For the most part the respiratory therapy person at our local clinic gives us bags of neb cups when we visit or if we call him up and ask.

I ordered a spare compressor -- Devilbiss from Comfort1st.com, but there are other sites. I didn't run it thru insurance 'cuz last time we did the pari proneb from Apria health care cost $356, when they were available on other sites for $70-90. I chose comfort1.com at the time 'cuz they had free shipping.

I am not sure if these are national companies or not, but I have dealt with several DME companies and had good results. The only reason I have dealt with so many different ones is because some would offer the product I needed and some did not.

Compressors I have gotten through

Apria and also Lincare (though I will say our local service for Lincare is a bit below par in comparison to other companies I have dealt with the machine itself is great though) - oh and locally for me is Jacksonville FL. I have heard that Lincare in other areas has amazing customer service though - I just had issues.

Oxygen supplies I go through Jay Home Medical, BUT I think that is a local company though I am not for certain.

Percussor I got through CareMax and they are pretty darn good as well.

I think I got my vest through Apria, but can't recall.

Hope that helped at least a little.

Just a thought too it may be worth talking to your docs office about a local DME company - many will take insurance and will try to get what you need. They often times have better customer service as well because they have to work harder than the national companies. Just a thought but your docs office may know of a good local DME company for you to get in touch with.

Lindsey

I got a new proneb ultra ll compressor for around $80.00 before shipping charges through a place called allergybe gone.com. Not sure if they carry acapella's though.

I have always been fond of my company, Medi-Home Care. It may just because I work there though! I would be more than happy to have the closest center take care of whatever you need if you pm and tell me the details.

Laura,

If you call a medi-home down there please don't mention me directly...my company really dosen't know about my CF. If you would like you can call my store in Charleston WV and I will take care of everything for you. Just let me know
