I am going to be eligible for Medicare in December of this year. Can anyone give me some help on when to apply for medicare, and what all I need to do. I am really at a loss on all of this.

Thanks in advance for your help.

on your own name I think you can only get straight Medicare without disability at age 65.
When you say you'll be eligible this year, can you tell us more. Like shy you are becoming eligible this year?

I am eligible in December because I have been on disablilty for 24 months at that point. I am not 65, but you are eligible after being on disability for 2 years.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think close to December they will mail you paperwork and at that time you will tell them if you want Part A, Part B or both. There normally is a fee for Part B (approx $90?) but Part A is free. They automatically enroll you in Part A.
I believe Part A is for hospital visits and possibly doctor's appts.
Part B will cover your nebulized medications & some diabetic supplies.
Part D is the prescription coverage & I don't have that, so maybe someone else can advise on that and what it cost.
I would suggest that you check their website too. It is very informative.
