I was wondering if anyone had any information about having CF and being on Medicare. I am currently on both my parents Kaiser insurance as a disabled dependent as well as medicare through California disability. Once I graduate from college in May I will be taken off my parents insurance and only be on Medicare. I was wondering if anyone hear with CF is on just Medicare and how it is to be on just medicare. Do you get all your medications covered and do you get good care? I am very worried about not being covered completely esepcially since I am a post transplant patient and I NEED all of my transplant medications and appointments covered. I just want to try and get as much information as possible since I don't know much about it and I want to get as much information as possible. I generally just want to know what the experience has been being on medicare with CF. Any further information I could get would be really helpful.

I am on medicare(SSD) and medicaid (thru SSI). I live in Arkansas , in my situation if medicare doesnt cover it then medicaid wont either. They wont pay for nexium or Hypersal . I had to switch to protonix

I know quite a few Californians who are also on GHPP (Genetically Handicapped Persons Program), so perhaps you could look into that as a secondary option.
