I was really disappointed when I realized that I wasn't going to be able to just use one pharmacy and the pharmacists I trust now that CF entered our world. We use CF services pharmacy for Creon and vitamax because we get it free through the Wee-care program (until they are three years old, look into it!).

Our insurance forces us to use a speciality mail in pharmacy for pulmozyme and tobi. And then we CAN use our regular pharmacy for the other stuff, but honestly its A LOT cheaper to use their mail order pharmacy. In most cases I can get a 90 day supply for just a double co-pay. So basically buy two months get one free.

This disease will quickly eat away your finances when it comes to co-pays even if you have good insurance. I would love to know of any supplemental pharmacy insurance programs that exist, but I haven't found any.

I know what you mean about those aerochambers being nutso expensive for a piece of plastic. Be sure to ask the nurses and others at the clinic / hospital for things like that - we've had great luck getting freebies just by making friends with every staff person we meet and asking if they have anything...
