meds that lower white blood cell count

I may have to take a medication for hyperthyroidism, and a side effect can be low white blood cell count. I culture for staph and I do not receive antibiotic treatment. Should I be on something at the same time to keep my staph under control or just wait and see what happens? CF doc doesn't want me on antibiotics usually.

I'm doing well and I don't want to risk getting sick. I get my thryoid retested in 2 weeks and I will be treated if it doesn't improve (cause is postpartum thyroiditis). I'd appreciate any insight on this, I usually eat garlic to help boost my immunity or I'll get an overgrowth so I'm a little concerned.
