Mel's story.....
I am broken hearted over the fact that Mel is no longer with us. I am so glad that you were there for her Jada when she needed you to be. I also feel so blessed to have known everyone here. Mel gave me alot of advice. I looked up to her as a cf mentor. I am glad that you are back Jada. I pray that God walks with you and helps you find peace in all of this, and that the family will be able to heal and be able to carry on. Remember that if you ever need anything to chat or whatever please feel free to pm me anytime.
I have realized something with Melissa's passing. Even in this rough time. She helped me understand that us cfers are like a family spread out all over the place. We all have this connection with each other because we know what each other is going through. I don't even have this connection with my blood family. So to have it here, has encouraged me greatly to keep fighting even when it feels like I am climbing up a mountain with no o2 mask on, and trying to run down really fast in the snow! (metaphorically speaking.) Being here on this website with everyone has given me strength and encouragement that I am not alone.
It is because of Mel that I was able to have this revelation of this connection we all have. I know that I now have my husband and daughter for immediate family and this place as my cf family.
The love and caring nature of everyone here has kept me coming back and always knowing that if I encounter anything new with my cf that I know exactly where to go to get help, and/or advice.
