Memorial Day

Hope everyone has a good Memorial Day with your loved ones making memories. I remember visits to the graves of relatives, and all-day picnics with grandparents, aunts, and uncles all long dead now. Playing with cousins I rarely hear from now-a-days. Funny, we didn't have food-poisening back then, and we kept food out all afternoon! It's hot and muggy here.

I hope you also have a wonderful Memorial Day. Yesterday we went to a War Air Museum, and today I am sending good thoughts to the many men and women in Iraq.

I work at the local American Legion. I will be working there tonight and will hear many stories from the men that fought in Vietnam, Korea, etc. Those stories are enlightening and heartbreaking.

Tomorrow morning I will attend a memorial service at the American Legion.

Inbetween all of that my in-laws are in town, and we have had a wonderful time with them.

The only thing that would make this weekend better is if my daughters, Lauren and Courtney, were here with us to share the weekend. I hope they are having a great time in Louisana!
