Merrem (Meropenem) and instability

I think I got a weeks worth too and like Darby had to keep it in the freezer.

At least I had it premixed, that's what I know for sure. I have never had to mix my own. I had it like Darby I think, but it might also be that I got it for 3 or 4 days. Not sure.

I didn't have Meropenem a lot and when I did have it, it was about 8 years ago I think. So that must be why I don't know for sure haha.

I get Merrem for 4 days and just leave it in the fridge. I've never heard any of this before.

I would like to think that all your methods are right so that I too can enjoy the convenience of pre-mixed push through delivery. I looked that PI in hopes of being able to tell the pharmacy they are wrong but none of it seems to support pre-mixing or the freezing method. Do any of you have documentation that this is appropriate care of the drug? If so I'd love to see it so that I too can take it more conveniently than drip bag delivery.

I do Home-IVs with Meropenem since about 1,5 years with premixed ballons similar to Intermed.
It comes in a cooled box every week and has to be kept in the refridgerator at 2 - 8 degrees Celcius all the time; you should not take it out too long before IV, maximum 2 hours.
It is "valid" for one week, no longer, thats why I get it freshly mixed every week.
