Hi Janet - thanks for outing me!! I'm Kathryn, girlfriend of Rob (29 wCF) and we live in the UK. I've been a daily lurker for about 18 months now, and have learnt soooo much, so thanks to all of you!!

Rob ran the London Marathon on the 22nd in 4 hrs 17 <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0"> <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> You can see some pics and their story <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://web.mac.com/magmatic/iWeb/marathon/marathon.html">here</a> (yes, they ran ALL the way round with those signs! The signs were originally stuck in their backpacks so they didn't need to carry them, but then Rob ran under a road sign, and snap! so he had to carry it <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> )

Both Rob & Paul (his flatmate who he ran with) have raised so much more than expected (for the CF Trust) - check out how much they've got...and still going! <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.justgiving.com/baldwithbeards">baldwithbeards</a>

aaaaahhh !!!!!! kathryn i'm so glad you posted Robs fantastic achievment on these boards. i truly hope it will inspire the adults and teenagers on here and also the parents of recently diagnosed children with cf. you can have cf , be 29 AND run a marathon in a VERY good time. i'm embarrased <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0"> my husband and i couldn't walk 26 miles !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
