Hello, I need some help with Miralax. Holly has NO digestive issues that pertain to CF. she is frequently constipated & getting very backed up. I think it may be due to all the probiotics she was taking while on abx, but anyways. I went & bought some miralax. It said not to use if you are under 16 but if you were over 16 to give a capful.

How much do you normally give a 5 year old? She weighs 38 lbs & is 4 ft even.

My dd takes glycolax (the generic miralax covered by insurance) -- I mix half a capful with about 4oz of juice for her, as per doc. She will be 2 this week and weighs 22lbs. so she's smaller than Holly -- but I think half a capful is good for you too. My friend's non-cf dd is 8 and takes half a capful as well.

we don't take Miralax - just wanted to respond to your comment on probiotics. They are supposed to help normalize digestion so I can't imagine they would be the cause of the constipation, if anything they should help.
