More Questions on CF and Cirrhosis and/or liver and Kidney Problems

Hi ppl. I posted earlier about being afraid I have cirrhosis . (yes im a cfer if u missed it)
I have had a high liver count for years now, and some doctors thought I might have it.
However my cf specialist kinda shrugged at it saying if I did there was no treatment.
But I know there is with meds like Actigal (which im already on) and if worst comes to worst liver transplant.
My question is why hasnt my specialist done EVERY TEST he can to make sure I dint have this?
It seems the only test done was the liver count which was high.....
Should I ask my new speacialists to do a biopsy?
Also my CFRD speacialst said I did have alot of protien in my urine and im now taking meds for that also. Are there any tests that can be done to see if my kidneys are damaged and if so how much?

I am really worried about this.
Thanks for input

Have you ever tried Ursordeoxycholic Acid???
might be worth asking your doctor about it next time you go.
I had off the scale liver count, and I did have to have my gallbladder removed , but I have been on Urso for a while now.( since my gallbladder was removed)
I still have problems where I vomit pure bile, even though I dont have a gall bladder and they cut a hole in my spincter (sp?) to keep things draining, but my liver count is normal
Hope you get some answers soon

6 month old was diagnosed with cf after being born with a meconium ileus. they did a blodd test on him and his enzyme count thing for his liver was high. they are gonna run another blood test and do a sonogram of his liver. i dont know what else the are gonna do as far as meds, but i know you can do a sonogram like when your pregnant. with that i would think they could see if your live was damaged or not.
