MRSA OUTBREAKS

here's a question to all of you that already have MRSA. No it's not airborne, but could it still be that some people with CF are speading MRSA to the general population. Say a CF athlete w/ MRSA, coughs, and some of his/her particles land on a gym mat, then a student with a cut, is on the mat practicing, I would think they would have a chance of aquiring MRSA.

CF is not contagious, but CF people at times are.

I think the chances of that are VERY rare! I actually called my doc office the other day and asked them about it...they said yes its contagious but you would have to practically breathe and hack into someones cut. I also have MRSA already so its not a concern to me...but I was more concerned about spreading it to others. They told me not to worry too much, like I said, but also to stay away from chemo patients and old people.

Yeah from what I understand, I'd have to cough up a nice loog and then pretty much rub it into someone's cut for that to work. And since I don't intend on doing that, I'm not too worried.
