Mucinex Ads

Random question/thought here.

Anyone see those ads for mucinex in magazines? They are hysterical. They are of this big mucus-blob man and it always says something funny. So far I've seen "mucus rules" "honk if you love mucus" and "mucus is beautiful."

I think as a CF'er you can appreciate these things. I shared this with my non-CF friend and he said "isn't mucus the enemy?" Yes, that's true, but I think it's best to take some of the crappy aspects of CF and look at it in a funny/positive way.

Haha...I'm tempted to copy all of the mucus men and make my own "mucus mobile" weird...I know

I haven't seen any print ads, but have seen the ads on TV -- my son (who rarely has a problem with mucus) was recently coughing up something terrible for several days and had actually taken mucinex commented "you know this crap just doesn't go flying out of your lungs like they show on the commercials!" He was disappointed it wasn't quite that easy :)

I took an ecpectorant once when I had bronchitis, I don't think it did anything that a good old beating on the chest and some pulmozyme won't accomplish. Those ads are funny though. I'm sure we've all coughed up something that looked like those guys before.
