Mucomyst/Pulmozyne

Well, shut my mouth! I was on Mucomyst in the '80s and early '90s. Really helped me cough stuff up. Then pulmozyme came along and I was told mucomyst was passe'. I didn't even know they still made it! I'm asking my doc about it tomorrow. I have never been convinced that pulmozyme does me that much good. HTS does, though. I'd ditch pulmo gladly.

I was put on Mucomyst/ventolin/3% saline, in equal parts at 17 when I started having major lung issues.
I turned 48 on Wednesday... The Dr. wanted to change to Pulmosyme several times but I could not get it covered and the cost was prohibitive, Mucomyst is covered by the system. I have had a number of exacerbations and gone on oral and inhaled antibiotics for 4 to 6 weeks or more at a time in addition to the Mucomyst by Mask. My most recent turn around has been the addition of the Frequencer physio device to my routine. In just 3 weeks since receiving the divice I am back to just 3 mucomyst masks/ day with the Frequenser done while I have my second morning mask, and no antibiotics . I hardly cough for the rest of the day.Needless to say I am stunned with the result... but I'll take it! Now if it would just stop snow'n and blow'n so I could ride my bike again I could make some real progress!!! Jeff

This is a HUGE bump, but I am curious about this Fizzy NAC. Who here is on it? Where do you buy it from? It seems pretty expensive to me, so I would love to hear some results, feedback, experiences....and also, where do you get it?</end quote></div>

All my experiences and studies are on my blog <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
