i just cant get over the price. are most houses in the US under 500000??? you cant buy a house in the area i live in for less than 500000. in fact, my parents house is selling for 745000 and its just a 4x2 built in the 80's! yikes!

I almost passed out with this. I watch the tv show "Flip that House" and I think all of them have been with CA and the purchase prices floor me since they have to invest $$ to renovate them also. The houses near us average at about $175,000. give or take a few grand. Its the taxes near us that kill ya.......
