My sister in law is in labor! - updated - baby arrived!

Well this has nothing to do with CF or my pregnancy but I'm too excited. My sister in law called me about an hour ago to tell me she's in labor. She's 39 weeks 2 days and planning a home VBAC. They are in the process of filling the birth tub (it will take a while since they don't have a lot of hot water).

So hopefully sometime today I will be an aunt again! And I've offered to go over to their house to help if they need me. I'm guessing she won't call me for that but I secretly hope she does.

She's been having regular contractions for over a week now so it is about time!

(This is the wife of my husband's brother - they're the only "siblings" I have now since my brother died 10 years ago).

My sister in law is in labor! - updated

As of about 9:30 am this morning she was 9 cm, had bloody show and her water hadn't broken yet. The midwife has been with them since about midnight. She's having a very long labor but I don't think it got intense till late last night. The water not breaking yet is a good thing because she was GBS+ - the longer your water has been broken the higher risk of infection (though still extremely low). When doing a homebirth there are a few options regarding GBS+ status - do nothing (a viable option), have someone hook up antibiotics at home, or there are some alternative methods said to be useful. SIL wasn't sure what she was going to do about it if her water had been broken for a long time but thankfully that never became an issue for her.

The GBS thing is an issue for me because I was GBS+ with Logan. I will be doing everything I can to be GBS - this time but you never know and I may end up GBS+ again and will be facing the same situation.

So anyway, hopefully I'll hear some news soon -
