Just wanted to let you all know that I will be admitted for IV's (pre-operation cleanout) tomorrow (Tuesday 8/19). I will be getting a muscle relaxer before I go in so that the PICC placement will hopefully be easier. I will update when I can.

Thanks. Oh btw, I will probably be home for the weekend and then go back for the surgery...which is monday the 25th.

*****The PICC nurses came in at six to "try" the PICC. Welp...didnt work. I have a peripheral IV line, which I am praying will last through the doses of meds until they can get the PICC. I will be going down to radiology (which i had a bad experience with 5 years ago) in the morning. Hopefully I will be first on the list. As for my nerves, they gave me adavan today for the PICC placement and I am feeling kinda woozy...so I should probably be going. They will also give me more adavan tomorrow before I go to radiology. I will update when I can.

***THURSDAY NIGHT***
Finally got the PICC placed today. It was very difficult, even though I did have the muscle relaxer. It took a while to get the vein to calm down and they put in a double lumen...for whatever reason, i dont know. I probably wont use it. Its sore now and I am wiped out. I am still eating well and I feel like sleeping ok, but still I cant seem to keep my eyes open. I will try to blog later, but I am going to rest for now.
