Hi everybody!

I know that of you are on NAC. I have read sakasuka blog and I know that you started some months ago. Now, my question is. What doses are you on and how are you doing? have you notice any difference in symptons? what about FEV and infection? Do you have to use antibiotics less often?
My boyfriend is on NAC 600mg since his diagnosis three months ago. at first he was on 600 once a day and since last month twice a day. I know it´s too soon. But I think he coughs less (although is difficult to say since he never had much of a cough, just a little bit when he wakes up...). So far his last infection was three months ago. His FEv is 95 and he will have new ones in october. We´ll see if he goes up. I don´t know if he has less symptons now because of Nac of because he is in a higher dose of inhaled steroid (fluticasone 500 twice daily)...
Rita. Boyfrienf 35 wcf. fev 95. diagnosed at 35.

I take 600mg BID (looking to move up to TID). My sputum is thinner and I cough less. I have the same FEV1 as your BF.

I import my NAC from Europe, however. It's regulated there. Here in the States, supplements aren't regulated. Just because the bottle says 600mg doesn't necessarily mean that's what it is. And purity isn't guarenteed either.

So be very careful. Dr. Moss uses NAC imported from Canada. If you want more info on that let me know.

Sorry to hijack this thread but I think Amy answered the question sufficiently. Isn't fluticasone the same drug that is marketed as Flonase? This is going to sound incredibly stupid but he inhales that in his lungs and not into the nose? Is this normal?

Flovent (which is a Metered Dose Inhaler) is fluticasone.

Flonase (which is an intranasal corticosteroid) is fluticasone as well.

Azmacort (MDI ) and Nasacort (nasal) are the same (Triamcinolone Acedonide)

Nasonex an Asthmacort (MDI) are both mometasone
