Nebuliser

I am going to get a new Nebuliser compresser as mine is about 15 years old. I would like to get some opinions on what is the best Nebuiser to get. I don't care too much about portability. If it can do my meds faster that would be a plus. It could be the size of my couch if it did my nebs faster. It needs to be able to do most anything, including Tobi and Pulmozyme. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks.

Avoid the PARI Trek - the CF Foundation doesn't recommend its use with TOBI and pulmozyme.

I have the PARI ProNeb Plus. I love it.

We use Devillbiss Pulmoaid for our everyday nebulizer and the pari-proneb plus when we travel. Amy, how long do your treatments take with the pari? We got the Devilbiss 'cuz when DS was on Tobi the treatments took 40-45 minutes. Compared to the 20-25 with the pulmoaid.

I'm still confused at to who DS is or what it stands for?

TOBI takes less than 20 min on the Pari ProNeb Ultra.

Pulmozyme is about 7-8 min.

Albuterol is short - maybe 5 min or less.

DS=Darling Son
DD=Darling Daughter
DH=Darling Husband

Etc etc.....some peoplel prefer not to use names or what a shortcut if the name is lengthy!

Our pari always takes longer and we've had it for less than three years. I bought the Devillbiss after using an older one that my husband's cousin used when her daughter had problems with asthma and the tobi took 20 minutes.

Maybe I should take the pari in for a check up. We use it as our travel nebulizer 'cuz the devillbiss is so bulky. Tobi takes a long time, pulmozyme takes 10 minutes instead of 5 and albuterol/atrovent takes 20 minutes instead of 10-15.

ALbuterol should not take 20 minutes, I would get the Pari checked out! You may need a new one! My daughter does Xopenex and it takes about 5-6 minutes with the Pari Pro Neb.

I have the PariNeb Turbo,Pro? and my albuterol takes 20mins (which is annoying) but I've had it checked out and they say it's fine! The output is actually really good! Any suggestions? I use a clean nebulizer each time and change the tubing quite often.

I have always used an Omron, and loved it. But, it slowly started to die. Instead of buying a new one, I went with the Pari Trek. I have had it for a couple of days and really like it.

I just read that the cff doesn't recommend it. I wonder why. Oh well, my doc didn't say anything about it. I'm going to use it for the next couple of years, or until it dies. It seems to work for me.

Devilbiss Pulmoaide! THose things are indestructible! My last Devilbiss lasted 5 1/2 years, being used multiple times a day.

The Pulmo-Aide is the ONLY reccomended compressor for TOBI according to chiron.

I had a Pari Proneb Turbo and was dissapointed! It died after only a year.

Get your neb replaced every 3 years, per CFF recommendations. Compressors lose efficacy after that amount of time.
