Nebulizer compressor questions

Also, new compressors are suppose to last 2 years. Mine usually only make it a year and that is with me changing the filters and all that maintanence stuff. If my pump lasted two years, it would be a miracle. Its lasting power depends on how hard/long it is used. Usually, compressors are designed to only be run for no more than 30 minutes at a time. Mine usually runs around 40 because of the Albuterol, Pulmozyme, and Hypertonic Saline. If I was on TOBI, I would surely have a problem! LOL!

Good luck! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

DS' never worked all that well, but I thought that's the way it was supposed to be until dh's cousin gave us her daughters old devilbiss pulmoaid. Tobi went from 45 minutes to 23. So I purchased a new devilbiss online for our regular compressor. Recently after taking the pari on a weekend trip, I decided it wasn't working well enough, so I ordered a brand new pro neb ultra II for travel. Think I got it for $50 from Ihealthdepot.com

Thanks for the help!

I think this one is coming up on 2 years- I've got to find out about the warranty- it says on the bottom of it that it has a 5 year warranty? and since I just started the HTS a couple of months ago, I was only doing the Pulmozyme and Xopenex with it (so, about 20 mins or less) and then waited until my vest was done to do my occasional inhaled antibiotic.
It also gets a break between the Xopenex/HTS and my Pulmozyme now, because I do my vest (30 mins) inbetween. Hmmmmm.....

Thanks, I'll check out the Iheathdepot.com. That's the cheapest I've seen yet! <img src="">

Oh, and this one came straight from Pari, as a replacement for one that failed under warranty, as I was having problems with the company I bought it through (I had waited a month, and still they couldn't tell me what was going on with my replacement). I just picked it up and turned it on, and when I listen to it up close, it sounds a little rattley. *sigh* I think that's probably a bad thing....

The devilbiss I bought started getting louder and treatment times increased and that, too was under a warranty. But it took 2 weeks for us to get it back/get a replacement from the company. Your pari is still probably under warranty, DS's new one says 5 years, his old one said 3 years -- just sooo inconvenient is you don't have a spare.
