Nebulizer vs Inhaler

I don't really know if the nebs are more effective or not, but for me they are. Inhalers have never worked for me. I usually feel worse after using an inhaler.

MDI's are supposed to be just as effective as a nebulizer if done correctly. That's the key. Most people do not use an inhaler correctly and that's why a lot of people feel the neb works better. MDI's should be used with a spacer to be most effective and the breath held with each puff. If you end up coughing during the breath hold, the medicine might not have been inhaled properly.

I personally use both methods. I do not think that I use the MDI properly all the time, so sometimes I use the neb instead.
