It really does come down to the child. If you don't agree with what the parents did, you can't change that now. But if you can help the child, then I would do it. You don't have to agree with the parents in order to help this child.

I think many people would be surprised to know that there are a lot of parents who take the 1 in 4 chance. Would I? Absolutely not, we did the IVF/PGD route after our first son was diagnosed. But I try not to judge those that do. Also when our son was diagnosed, I did talk to older people with CF but CF varies so much that I am not sure if it helped anyway. We are 100% compliant with his treatments but that was from the advice of the best doctors, not other people with CF. Best of luck in your decision.
