Everyone has to find that balance that works for them. I remember when my doctor said I had to get my pfts up hugely if I wanted to get pregant, I thought yeah, I'm gonna be doing 3 therapies (like the ones described above) per day, a sweatin cardio workout a day....and she was like no, no. It has to be a regimen that is comfortable and realistic to keep doing everyday. I hope you find that Jennifer. You've come so far-I understand why you are so concerned about you pfts, of course. But I also understand after all you've been through, why your job is so important to you.

Boxer 13-Are you a boxer or do you have a boxer? (i"m wondering b/c I have a boxer, she's 2 yrs old <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">) Yes, this regimen is perfectly safe for pregnant women. I'm doing it, and I consider it vital to a pregnant woman-it will keep my lung function up. My doc did say that around 6-7 months PT with the vest will likely have to stop. Then, I'll have to switch to having someone clap me, while I am upright or gently propped on my side, the doctor said. But Ill still do the coughing/spit technique. I hope this helps you! I was so happy to learn the right way to do the vest, esp when I saw such amazing results from it. Everyone responds differently, but of course it will do some good for sure. I'm concerned that your doctor dropped you-that is really not good. If you wouldn't mind-why dont' you come to the pregnancy section of this forum and write your 'story' with this situation. I'm sure everyone would find it interesting and informative, myself included-and maybe you can get some tips to help you out right now. wish you the best!!
